This Sunday, June 9th, is Children's Day. It is a day to celebrate the  children in your family. It is a day to set apart and let them know how thankful you are they are part of your family. It is a day to have fun!

My local TreeRunner Adventure Park in Grand Rapids, MI allowed my son, daughter-in-law and three grandsons to visit their park, so I would be able to share their experience with you.

Of course, being a grandma, safety is at the top of my list when I think about my loved family members climbing and swinging around in the branches and tops of trees. I am extremely happy to say TreeRunner Adventure Park absolutely takes safety seriously. The first thing you do when you arrive is spend time with their staff to learn how to use the safety harnesses, the ropes and all the details for enjoying yourself in as safe a way as possible.

Once they have trained you to use their park safely, they do not just send you on your way. Oh no. Their staff are with you as you go on your way to enjoy the park. They are there before you enjoy the zip line to be sure you are safely attached to the lines with your ropes and back up ropes. They are there to help you if you should get "stuck" - which my grandsons say is part of the fun! Safety is a top priority for TreeRunner Adventure Park and it shows - from the time you start through the end of your time there.

And, the fun is huge! Climbing the trees, crossing the rope bridges, enjoying the zip lines, the fun does not end. My grandsons all said TreeRunner Adventure Park is a LOT of fun!

Plus, for those children you love who are too young/not tall enough to go up in the trees, there is a Junior Park complete with harnesses and sliding on lines and climbing like older siblings, but significantly closer to the ground!
