The children we love will be returning to school shortly. A new year of school brings with it new relationships, new learning, new experiences, new challenges - some positive, some not so positive. Of course we want to do all we are able to do to equip the children we love so they are able to face these new things with confidence and are able to grow because of them. One of the most important things we will ever do to help them is to teach them to talk with God, but how do we do this? Clearly, if we want the children we love to become people of prayer, this takes more than praying at meals.
A few years ago I, with my three grandsons, designed a book to help children ages four through fourteen learn to talk with God. Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children is a book which will engage children in a year of praying through the Psalms. If we want the children we love to learn to walk closely with God, they need to learn to talk with Him. Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children is designed to help children - preschool through Middle School age - learn to do exactly this by praying the Psalms back to God. In this book you will find 52 weeks of Scripture prayers from the Book of Psalms and space for children to record their own prayer requests and how God answers. With Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children the children you love will learn how to talk with God - and will make their way through the Book of Psalms a thoughtful way as well.
- I love this book. One of the best elements is how it is set up on different developmental levels. No matter the age of your child, they will find comfort in the Word of God, because they will be better able to understand the message. 'Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children' is one of the best resources a grandparent, parent or even Bible study teacher will give to a child.
