Legacy. If we think about it, we are all likely to want to leave a positive and lasting legacy to the generations who come behind us. We likely want our legacy to be one upon which future generations are able to look back and see a life lived in a way which made a difference. A legacy of confident faith, which was faithfully handed from our generation to the following generations.
This legacy is something which we are able to do. It may seem hard, but it really is something which is done in the day-in-day-out living of our everyday lives. We hand down a lasting legacy of value and confident faith when we . . .- Take time to pray, knowing God has promised to hear, listen, and answer our prayers, so we pray in confident faith believing God will do what He has promised to do.
- Watch for the everyday ways we are able to weave confident faith into our daily happenings. This allows us to point the generations who come behind us to the many ways God leaves His "fingerprints" on our lives.
- Plan intentional opportunities to hand down confident faith - through conversations and activities where we are able to talk about and give lasting examples they will remember about Who God Is and how much He loves them.
Commit to be someone who does these things and you will leave a legacy of true value, a legacy of confident faith, a legacy which is handed from one generation to the next.
