crafting with grandma - Melted Snowman & I Spy Ornaments!

As I said yesterday, Christmas is just around the corner, so . . . I thought it would be fun to share another idea with you for an ornament which has to be one of the most fun ornaments I've ever made! It is a fun, simple ornament which you could involve your grandchildren in making - they could give them to teachers, coaches, neighbors . . . to anyone for whom they need to have a nice, little gift!

Just follow this link and you'll find directions for the melted snowman ornament . . . all you need is a clear ornament - glass or plastic - white glitter, tiny black pom poms, and either a clay or felt nose. For added fun you could collect twigs from your yard for "arms", and add a bit of fabric for a scarf and a top hat made from clay or felt! So cute and so easy!

My grandsons made this one year for their Sunday School teachers. When they gave the ornaments, all their teachers looked confused, until the boys said, "Think about a "Melted Snowman". Then every teacher laughed and said it was absolutely a melted snowman and they loved it!

If your grands live far away, send them the supplies, connect on-line to make the ornaments and get ready for some fun memories - which you will recall each year when you place your Melted Snowman ornaments on your tree. Enjoy!
