Today I am remembering a time when my then sweet three-year old grandson was over to my house for a few hours and, as he typically does, he had me laughing and filled my heart with joy. I thought it would be fun to share one of our conversations with you . . .
I asked my grandson what he wanted for lunch - he said a "normal" sandwich. I said; "Oh . . . a ham sandwich?" He said; "No, a normal sandwich." I said; "Hmmm . . . a turkey sandwich?" He said; "No. A normal sandwich." I said; "Ahhh . . . do you want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?" He said; "No, a normal sandwich." Feeling confused I asked; "What is a normal sandwich?" He said; "A meat sandwich with a top, meat, and a bottom."
Now I – and you - know what a "normal" sandwich is!
