One of my favorite things about facebook is the "Memories" feature where it shows me things I posted each day one, two, or more years earlier. It is a wonderful way to remember those special times with family and friends.
Well, today's post is one I'm sharing which I originally wrote ten years ago, but when I saw it today, it made me laugh as I remembered my then two year old grandson and how he used to "drive" the dump truck like a "mad-man"! Enjoy . . .I made my husband laugh the other day! I don't mean just a smile or a "chuckle", but rather an out-and-out belly-laugh! How, you ask? Well, I told him the following: "Our grandson drives the dump-truck like a 'mad-man'!" He out-and-out laughed at this!
Why, you ask? Because our middle grandson was then two years old and loved the toy dump-truck we had. Plus, he loved . . . wait, did I say, "loved"? I should have said, "LOVED!!!!" . . . to drive it like a mad-man, careening around the dining-room table and into the living room; all the while saying, "Vvrrrooommm, vvvrrrooommm, vvvrrrooommm, go, go, go!!!" Yes, the term, "mad-man" can and did apply to this sweet little sugar dumpling when he was driving the dump-truck! :-)It won't be long before my now twelve year old grandson begins driver's ed - just two years! I hope his "driving like a mad-man" years are over! Our oldest grandson (just turned 15) is now driving - how did this happen?! It seems like it was not very long ago he was learning to walk in our living room. My grandsons are doing what all children do - they are growing up. While I miss the cute (and often funny) years from when they were little, I am very much enjoying being able to see as they grow into amazing young men!
What do your grandchildren do to make you laugh? Do you have any memories from a few years ago which still bring a smile to your face when you think of them?
