My Christmas Carol for Today - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Acappella

Acappella has long been one of my favorite groups, so listening to them sing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas had to be part of my Christmas Carols, you will find it at this link. Enjoy!

This song was originally written for Judy Garland to sing in the movie, Meet Me in St. Lewis, but they lyrics were much darker. She thought they should change the lyrics and eventually they ended up with what we now know. Here are the lyrics if you want to sing along -

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Let your heart be light

From now on, our troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Make the yuletide gay

From now on, our troubles will be miles away

Here we are as in olden days

Happy golden days of yore

Faithful friends who are dear to us

Gather near to us once more

Through the years we all will be together

If the fates allow

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough

And have yourself a merry little Christmas now
