March is National Reading Month

Days of the Month (dot) com says, "With the power to provide knowledge, enact the imagination, improve mental abilities, enhance conversational skills, and so much more, reading truly does hold a key to changing the lives of children and adults all over the world!" I absolutely agree. Reading is an essential thing for us to do with the children we love, encourage and help them as they learn to be people who read, and then encourage them to be people who read all their lives - and absolutely model this for them as well.

March is a great month to be National Reading Month since the 2nd was Dr. Seuss' birthday - and he certainly wrote a lot of books which capture the attention of children and encourage them to want to read. So, as you celebrate this month of reading, take time to read some Dr. Seuss books with the children you love if they are young.

If they are older, ask them what books they are currently reading. When my grandsons became readers, they enjoyed reading the "DogMan" books - and a book about coding as well.

Of course, I highly recommend my Life on the Goldilocks Planet books for children - they are great books to get and use with the children you love this month - and any month! Please take a minute to check out my bookstore at this link and consider adding my books to the books you use with the children you love - and read for yourself as well!

Check this link on Days of the Month (dot) com to find ways to celebrate this month of reading.
