The Dr. Seuss Quote for today is, "All alone! Whether you like it or not, alone is something you'll be quite a lot!" While we may be physically alone at times in our lives, the wonderful truth is we are never alone! Jesus promised to be with us always - just look at Matthew 28:20b, "Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age." Jesus said He will be with us every day! What a comfort this is! Look at Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t fear, because I am with you; don’t be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will surely help you; I will hold you with my righteous strong hand." Not only will God be with us always, but He will strengthen us and help us and hold on to us! We most certainly do not have to be afraid . . . even if we are physically alone! This is something we all need to be reminded of!Be sure to point this out to your grandchildren, too! Encourage them with the truth they do not have to be afraid, even if they are physically alone because God is with them and He will strengthen, help and hold them! Give them sheets of black construction paper and white chalk. Have them write . . . NOT ALONE! and then decorate it with colored chalk to help them remember Jesus' promise to be with them every day. Tell them to hang it in their room where they'll be able to see it and remember Jesus is always with them! Be sure to take a moment to pray for each grandchild by name - "Thank You God for showing your love for _____ by always being with him/her! Please help him/her find comfort and strength in knowing You are always with him/her to strengthen, help and hold him/her! Thank You, Amen!"
