Today is National Kentucky Day

If you or someone you love lives in Kentucky, today is a day to celebrate as it is National Kentucky Day, so gather the children you love and let's learn about some of their silly laws and some interesting facts about Kentucky - did you know . . . 

  • It’s illegal to fish with a bow and arrow.
  • A woman may not buy a hat without her husband’s permission.
  • Ducklings cannot be dyed blue and legally sold unless there are six or more for sale at the same time.
  • You cannot legally carry ice cream in your pocket.
  • You can hunt a whale in Kentucky, from a moving vehicle.
