There is growing evidence of an actual biological/hormonal reason for people to see themselves as trans - apparently this can be seen with a microscope if you look at your own chromosomes you could learn your chromosomal sex doesn’t match your physical sex (read about it at this link), so just as we do not bully, judge, or discriminate against people who have other biological causes for things they face - such as any number of other health issues, we should not bully, judge, or discriminate against trans people - especially trans children - we should instead be people who do what Jesus said and did - love all others - and help the children we love be people who do the same. If anyone should be known for showing love to all others, shouldn't these people be those who call themselves Christians? Of course. No one chooses the difficult life which most often comes to someone who is trans - we should not be people who make their lives more difficult.
This day offers the opportunity for others to better understand the stigma, discrimination, and barriers which many transgender people face. This understanding can lead to deeper empathy, and can remind us we are all more alike than we are different. So let's be people who come together and who show Jesus' love to others - all others - every day, but especially today.
