A Year of Events at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

I often write about Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park and how it is such a wonderful place to spend time with the ones you love. Well, they just released their "calendar" of events for the year - check this out and if you live in or near West Michigan - or are planning a vacation here, make sure Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in on your list of places where you will absolutely spend time!

This year is their 30th anniversary - and boy have they filled the year with so many incredible opportunities to strengthen your health - as being around nature and art are physically and mentally good for you and Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is filled with nature and art! Check out just some of the fun they have planned for February and March - 

February

  • David Smith Exhibition Explorations: Feb. 2 and 9, 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Cozy Tales for Chilly Days in the Wege Library: Tuesdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m.
  • Winter Nights at Meijer Gardens: Tuesdays, 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Winter Family Day in the Lena Meijer Children’s Garden: Feb. 15, 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Who Am I? A Butterfly Ballet: Feb. 15–16.

March

  • Member early hours for butterflies: Sundays, 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Secchia Garden Lecture on March 11, 7 to 8 p.m.: In celebration of Meijer Gardens’ 30th anniversary, Senior Vice President Steve LaWarre and Senior Horticulture Lead Ian Warnock will reminisce about their journey designing and caring for our lush landscapes and groundbreaking projects.
  • Night of the Butterflies (Member Event): March 23 and 30, 6 to 8 p.m.

My husband and I just renewed our grandparents and a guest membership for the year - we and our grandchildren 18 and younger and a guest are able to visit as often as we like for the coming year. This is one of our best investments for our own health and to strengthen our family connection!
